Hello. It’s been a while. I’ve been swamped but I want to share some good news.
I finished another chapter on book three of The Ghost and the Mask!
You may recall that I am in an MFA program, which I am loving. But I am writing something new for that (which I also love), and it has taken me away from my beloved Akio and Masami in The Ghost and the Mask.
But I am wrapping up my third semester and going into the holiday break, so I am back at it with katanas and demons and that infernal mask … I don’t want too many spoilers here in case you haven’t read book one yet. Headless is here if you haven’t.
I’m very excited to be back in supernatural Japan (literarily speaking), and working through A&M’s trials with them. They just had an intense battle. But damn that Miyahara! Will they ever be able to trust him?
So much has happened in book three already. And I can’t wait to share it. I’ve got 71k words written and probably (guessing) 50k more to go. So, likely not as long as book two, but there’s still some ground to cover. I’m planning to push hard through November to get a first draft done, while I have a break from school.
